Through my company, Interior Timber Furnishings P/L, I had the good fortune to have worked for Garth Barnett Design for a period of approximately 10 years.

In the beginning, our association with Garth Barnett was focused on timber flooring projects – renovations, new floors, various surface treatments, etc. As a carpenter/joiner, we then undertook other commissions including, a Balinese garden pavilion, installations of various fixtures and fittings as well as free standing furniture items. Garth was always interested in new ideas and resources which could be incorporated into his design visions.

This was the catalyst which piqued my interest in the world of interior design and architecture in general.
Having also worked in many prestige properties including, numerous architecturally designed beach front residences, I found myself collecting Architectural Digest magazines, searching for ideas and inspiration for creating products and materials which could be used to enhance the built environment.
